GLSEN student advocate of the year nominations
GLSEN Student Advocate of the Year award honors an individual who has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to GLSEN’s mission of ensuring safe schools for all students, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
Three years ago GLSEN inaugruated the Student Advocate of the Year to honor the amazing work of students advocating for LGBT rights and safe schools across the country. Each of the three Student Advocates celebrated by GLSEN represents many other students who are advocating in their schools, changing their communities and showing that they value diversity.
This year’s honoree will travel with a parent or adult chaperone to Los Angeles for GLSEN’s Respect Awards on October 18, all expenses paid by GLSEN.
If you know someone who should be honored, please nominate them here.
Students must be 13 or older. Self-nominations allowed. Nominations will be accepted until Thursday, August 29th.
